01What we do

Our area of treatment extends from Okayama Prefecture to east Hiroshima Prefecture, starting from Fukuyama and also includes Shimane Prefecture and Shikoku. This department is part of an acute-stage hospital, meaning that we operate with the responsibility of being the last in line of referral in the treatment process.
Responsibilities and treatment include:
- Responding to conditions that require emergency treatment.
- Responding to the numerous referrals from other hospitals.
- Tackling numerous severe cases.
- Working within a regional referral support network and working with specialists from other departments in order to offer complete care to patients from a broad range of complications.
- Being certified as a designated ophthalmology training hospital and striving towards assisting resident ophthalmologists achieve their potential through education.
