Department of Diagnostic Radiology
01What we do
Director
Takashi Koyama
The Department of Diagnostic Radiology was formed from the specialization of the radiology department into therapeutic and diagnostic sections. Some of our main specialties are nuclear medicine, angiography, and interventional radiology. We undertake diagnostic imaging and nuclear medicine in the outpatient section and for admitted patients, and we work together with other departments in the areas of angiography and interventional radiology, for primarily inpatients. Our team, equipment, our areas of diagnostic testing, and the number of patients studied is among the best in the country.
Our nuclear medicine section undertakes investigations with positron emission computed tomography (PET-CT), single photon emission CT (SPECT), and all radioisotope therapies. We undertake angiography and interventional radiology on both an Emergency and Critical Care Center and scheduled basis.
